Â鶹´«Ã½ will require on-campus students to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 for the 2021-22 academic year. All undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students will need proof of vaccination to return to any Â鶹´«Ã½ campus in fall 2021.
"Â鶹´«Ã½ will require student vaccines for their own safety and the safety of others," said Ali Malekzadeh, Â鶹´«Ã½ president. "All students are encouraged to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible."
With wider distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine and continuing downward trends in cases, Â鶹´«Ã½ plans to offer many more classes face to face this fall. Students who will not be on campus at all are not required to provide proof of vaccination.
"Â鶹´«Ã½ understands the incredible importance of in-person learning," said Malekzadeh. "Returning to in-person classes gives students more opportunities to build those close connections with their fellow students and faculty."
